InFocus Family Eyecare is pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services, eye care products including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames, and contact lenses. Our staff is happy to help however we can.

Dr. Brad Masuga

Brad Masuga, O.D.

Dr. Masuga is originally from Marquette, Michigan. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2003 and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007. Dr. Masuga went on to complete a residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where he specialized in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

Dr. Masuga began practicing in Sarasota from 2008-2013 and opened InFocus Family Eyecare in May 2014. He provides comprehensive eye care and offers the latest in eyewear, frames and contact lenses including in toric and multifocal designs. Along with providing annual eye exams, Dr. Masuga specializes in the treatment of eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including children and young adults.

Professionally, Dr. Masuga is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. He is committed to providing quality eye care to individuals and their families.

Dr. Ashley Masuga

Ashley Masuga, O.D., F.A.A.O

Dr. Ashley Masuga is a board certified optometric physician specializing in the treatment of eye disease and pediatric eye care. Originally from Chesterfield, Michigan, Dr. Masuga completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University in 2003 and obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007. Dr. Ashley Masuga went on to complete a residency at the world renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, in Miami, Florida, and obtained her Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2009.

Dr. Masuga practices full-scope optometry including vision testing, prescriptions for eye wear and the fitting of contact lenses. She also performs pre-operative and post-operative treatment for cataract and LASIK patients. Dr. Masuga is residency trained in the treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration and retinal pathology. She also performs pediatric eye examinations for children.

Dr. Masuga is actively involved with her community. She is a member of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance. In 2008, Dr. Masuga joined the Manatee Young Professionals, and continues to serve on both their Leadership Committee and Community Service Subcommittee. She is a graduate of Leadership Manatee class of 2014 and is also involved in the Healthy Start Manatee Program. Professionally, Dr. Masuga is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association.

Our team of eye care professionals is experienced and friendly. We’re here to help all patients understand their benefits, schedule appointments, and fulfill their eye doctor’s orders. Our opticians can give you guidance in picking out your perfect pair of eyewear, and our friendly office staff is knowledgeable about billing and benefits coverage.

Erin, Office Manager

Erin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was raised in Boca Raton, Florida. She moved to Raleigh, North Carolina after completing her high school education, and met her husband.  Erin began her optical career in 2009 as an eye wear consultant. After spending time in Raleigh, North Carolina and Augusta, Georgia, Erin and her family made the move back to Lakewood Ranch, FL.

Erin joined InFocus in 2018 where she has continued to expand her knowledge in the field as an optometric technician.   She enjoys building relationships with her patients and looks forward to continuing her career in optometry.

Outside of work, Erin and her family love to spend their weekends on the beach and making memories at Disney World.

Kristin

Kristin, Assistant Manager

Kristin was born in West Palm Beach, FL but lived most of her life in Burtonsville, MD. She moved to Bradenton, FL to be closer to her family and to enjoy the sunshine. Kristin has worked in eye care since 2012 and has mastered many different roles in the office. She joined InFocus Family Eyecare in January 2021 where she works as a front desk receptionist and insurance specialist.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with her son at the beach and watching him play sports!

Annissa

Annissa was born and raised in sunny Southern California. She graduated from Northeast State Community College with a degree in Pre-Nursing.  Annissa and her family moved to Parrish, Florida in August of 2015. Shortly after moving, she decided to pursue a career in eye care.  Annissa completed the Optometric Assisting program at Manatee Technical College and became a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant in 2019.   She then joined the team at InFocus in May of 2019.

Outside of work, Annissa enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and Disney movie nights with her daughter. She is also a proud mom to her cat, King Bob.

Elaine

Elaine

Elaine was born in Havana Cuba and was raised in Sarasota, Florida. She began her career in eye care in 2019 after completing the Optometric Assisting program at Manatee Technical College and obtaining her Certification as a Paraoptometric Assistant. Elaine joined the InFocus team in November 2020. She enjoys working as a technician and building relationships with her patients while assisting them in their eye care needs.

Outside of work, Elaine spends her time traveling around sunny Florida making memories with her family and friends!

Rachel

Cara

Cara is originally from a small town in Minnesota, but moved to Tucson, AZ as a teenager with her family. She began her optical career in 2002, where she worked as a sales consultant, medical technician, and eventually an assistant manager. Shortly after her first daughter was born, Cara decided to leave the work force and became a stay-at-home mother for the next 8 years. She and her family moved back to Minnesota where she had two more children!

In 2014, Cara re-entered the workforce as an optician in Minnesota. In 2019 she moved back to Bradenton, Florida and obtained her Florida Optician’s License in November of 2020. She completed her ABO/NCLE certifications and
reached her goal of becoming a Florida Licensed Dispensing Optician in May 2022. Cara is passionate about the optical field and truly loves helping her clients see the very best! She enjoys working with patient’s of all ages, especially children. She is looking forward to pursuing her next goal of becoming a Florida Board-Certified Optician.

Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors with her children. She loves kayaking, being on the water, and trying new things!
