About Our Practice
InFocus Family Eyecare is pleased to offer a wide range of optometric services, eye care products including eyeglasses, specialty eyewear, frames, and contact lenses. Our staff is happy to help however we can.
Our mission is our patients and their eye health. It shows in everything that we do. From your first contact with us to your appointment and your follow-up, we aim to make your eye care experience great. This is what drives us to provide you with the best care year after year!

Brad Masuga, O.D.
Dr. Brad Masuga is originally from Marquette, Michigan. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2003 and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007. Dr. Masuga went on to complete a residency at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where he specialized in the treatment and management of ocular disease.
Dr. Masuga began practicing in Sarasota from 2008-2013 and opened InFocus Family Eyecare in May 2014. He provides comprehensive eye care and offers the latest in eyewear, frames and contact lenses including in toric and multifocal designs. Along with providing annual eye exams, Dr. Masuga specializes in the treatment of eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including children and young adults.
Professionally, Dr. Masuga is a member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. He is committed to providing quality eye care to individuals and their families!
Ashley Masuga, O.D., F.A.A.O
Dr. Ashley Masuga was born in raised in Chesterfield, Michigan. Dr. Masuga completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University in 2003 and obtained her Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2007. Dr. Ashley Masuga went on to complete a residency at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, in Miami, Florida, and obtained her Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in 2009.
Dr. Ashley practices full-scope optometry including vision testing and prescriptions for eye wear and contact lenses. Dr. Ashley also specializes in the treatment of eye diseases including dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
Professionally, Dr. Ashley stays active in the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. She is committed to providing quality and compassionate care to all of her patients.
Dr. Brad and Dr. Ashley
Dr. Brad and Ashley Masuga first met in optometry school at Ferris State University. They moved to Florida to complete their residencies together in 2008 and were later married in Sarasota, Florida in 2010. Dr. Brad and Ashley worked in separate practices in Manatee County for several years before they decided to open InFocus Family Eyecare in 2014. They envisioned a practice that would put patients first, allowing ample time for examinations and utilizing the latest technology available. InFocus Family Eyecare has given Dr. Brad and Dr. Ashley the ability to create a true family practice, where their patients can experience compassionate care in a welcoming environment. In 2023, InFocus Family Eyecare was honored to win Gold for “Best Eyecare Practice” by Best of SRQ Magazine.
Outside of the office, Dr. Brad and Dr. Ashley love spending time with their family. You will often find them volunteering at their kids school and sporting events, or running their dog, Dash, around the neighborhood. They love to travel as a family and try new experiences together!

Cara
Cara is originally from a small town in Minnesota, and moved to Tucson, AZ as a teenager with her family. She began her optical career in 2002 where she worked as a sales consultant, medical technician, and eventually an assistant manager. Shortly after her first daughter was born, Cara decided to leave the work force to become a stay-at-home mother for the next 8 years. She and her family moved back to Minnesota where she had two more children!
In 2014, Cara re-entered the workforce as an optician in Minnesota. In 2019, her family moved to Bradenton, Florida. She completed the ABO/NCLE certifications in 2020. She reached her goal of becoming a Florida Licensed Dispensing Optician in May 2022, and with continuing education is now a Board-Certified Optician.
Cara is passionate about the optical field and truly loves helping her clients see the very best! She enjoys working with patients of all ages, especially children. Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors with her children. She loves kayaking, being on the water, and trying new things!
Elaine
Elaine is originally from Durban, South Africa. She moved to Alpharetta, Georgia as a teenager where she began her career in optical. Having worn glasses since she was 14, Elaine has a special passion for eyewear and finding the perfect frame for her customers! With almost 20 years of experience, Elaine has built a reputation for expertise in frame selection and lens consultation with her clients. She enjoys keeping the optical fresh and full of unique and eccentric eyewear! With almost 20 years of experience, Elaine has become an elite in her field.
Elaine moved to Florida in February 2023 after getting married to her husband, Kyle. Professionally, Elaine received her ABO certification and working as an apprentice optician. She will complete her certifications in 2026!
In her spare time, Elaine enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 stepsons, and her baby yorkie, Mila. You will often find her and her husband on the beach, doing cross fit, and traveling to new exciting places!
Christina
Christina was originally born in Saigon, Vietnam but was raised in New Jersey. Christina has always had a passion for helping others and joined the Fire Department/EMS in 2003. During that time, she raised 3 children and now has one grandchild and two step children.
In 2019, Christina moved to Florida in 2019 to take care of her father. She entered the eye care field in 2023 and is loving every minute of it! Christina performs pre-testing on patients to prepare them for the doctor. She has a gift for compassion and is extremely detailed in her patient encounters. Her diverse experience in health care has proven to be very beneficial to our team!
Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and her family! She enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and living life to the fullest!
Caitlin
Caitlin was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She moved to Florida with her family in 2017 and graduated from high school in 2020. Caitlin has two sisters and one cat who she adores! Caitlin started her career in customer service and joined the eyecare field in 2023.
Caitlin works as a medical technician and assists the doctor in patient pre-testing and imaging. Caitlin is our contact lens specialist and ensures orders are received on time and patients are notified. If you are new to wearing contact lenses, Caitlin is our lead insertion and removal technician! She will show you all her tips and tricks! Caitlin brings positive energy and enthusiasm to her job every day! She shares her laughter and joy with all of her patients and her team members!
When Caitlin isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, her boyfriend and her friends. She also enjoys staying fit at the gym and is always up for experiencing new things!
Mary
Mary is originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, but at the young age of two, her family established their roots in Florida. Mary is married with two lovely daughters, a handsome son and a fur baby named “Maximus”. Mary’s work history includes office management, physical therapy, and legal work in personal injury and litigation. Mary enjoys working with people and is always eager to learn new skills.
Mary is new to the eye care field and has learned so much in the few months she’s been on our team! You will find Mary leading the front office, waiting to greet you with her wonderful smile. Her professional demeanor and strong dedication to her team has proved instrumental in creating a efficient office flow an optimal patient experience!
In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and creating memories with her children. She also enjoys traveling to new places with her extended family in the area!
Gianna
Gianna is originally from Staten Island, NY. She moved to Florida at the age of 4. Gianna has an older sister who is her best friend, and numerous pets including a bunny and leopard gecko!
Gianna started working at the age of 15, and has always had a drive to succeed. She has worked in the food industry and in customer service, and is now very eager to begin her career in Optical. Gianna is working at the front desk assisting patients with appointments, prescriptions and ordering contact lenses! With her quick ability to learn, Gianna is excited to train into the technician and optician roles as well. She has a wonderful demeanor with patients and works hard to create an enjoyable experience for them every day!
Outside of the office, Gianna enjoys working out, watching the sunsets with friends, taking care of her animals, and spending quality time with her family which she is very close with.
Amanda
Amanda is originally from Yonkers, New York. After completing her degree in medical laboratory, she moved to New Hampshire and started her career in optometry. Amanda became a certified paraoptometric (CPO) in 2012.
In 2017, Amanda and her husband, Michael, decided to move to a warmer climate in Lakewood Ranch, Florida and begin their lives together. She started her career at InFocus Family Eyecare as a paraoptometric and later acquired her certification for coding, becoming a certified paraoptometric coder, CPOC, in 2021. Amanda works behind the scenes in our insurance and billing department. Her years of experience in eye care and natural ability to work with numbers have allowed her to excel in her role!
